At Turtle Vacation we know our homeland and we aim not simply to rent you a motorhome, but also providing you with all the necessary information and equipment to assist and maximize your traveling vacation experience, and to enjoy every detail of your journey in comfortable living. The wide variety of our fleet has been carefully selected to fulfill your needs with a series of comfort class and premium class motorhomes. The fleet is younger than 2-years old, in fact the entire fleet consists of brand new 2006 model motorhomes, built with the latest technology, modern and elegant style with ergonomic designed spaces, latest generation of engines and technical specifications.

Turtle Vacation Rental Terms

Please note: If you do not book in the local currency of the country where your rental takes place the payment due dates will change and
your main vehicle rental charges will be payable in full upon confirmation of your booking.
This is to lock in the currency rate of the day you booked on and avoid further currency fluctuations. Some charges like taxes,
compulsory fees, extra items may still be payable upon pick up of your vehicle in their local currency.

(Please note, If you book in the local currency of the country where your rental takes place the standard payment terms described under the heading Payment Terms will apply.)

Payment
A non refundable booking deposit is required to secure your motorhome booking. The exact amount is detailed in the breakdown of pricing.
Please note that NO booking will be finalized without deposit.
50% of total rental price is payable at time of booking.
25% of total rental price, 20 days before rental period.
The remaining 25% is payable on date of receipt of motorhome.
We accept Mastercard, Visa, Visa electron. Cash. Bank transfer. No surcharges apply.

Cancellation Policy
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply:
more than 63 days, a full refund will be made to the customer.
34 - 63 days until rental period, 35% of total rental price will be charged.
19 - 33 days until rental period, 50% of total rental price will be charged.
18 days until rental period, 75% of total rental price will be charged.
Cancellations should be done in writing and emailed or faxed to Turtle Vacation.

Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that clients ensure they take out the highest level of travel insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking.

Drivers Licence
A valid driving license Type B (passenger car) or International Drivers license held for at least 2 (two) years is required.
Minimum age of the driver(s) is 21 years.
At receipt of the motorhome you will be required to present a valid drivers license and Identification card, and for our abroad customers, a valid drivers license and valid passport.
If there is more than one driver, the other has to present all required documents to the company.

Copies of these documents are made at the office for administration and insurance reasons.

Rental Basis
Rental day are 24hours. Thus, delivery and pick-up to be within the same time range. 2 hour difference not a problem. Thus, max 26 hours. More than 26 hour-days to be calculated as extra day.

Rental Policy
The minimum rental period is 2 days.

The motorhomes can be picked-up at 10:00-12:00 if available, otherwise 14:00 – 16:00. And has to be returned on the agreed date and time. Returned times are 10:00 – 12:00.Unless otherwise agreed by the renter and rental company, Turtle Vacation. The vehicle may only be driven by drivers authorized by the rental company. However if the vehicle is not returned on the agreed date a penalty of € 500 per day will be deducted from the deposit. Should the renter not return the vehicle in time, but still on the agreed date, an additional daily rental according to the season will be deducted from the deposit. Should the renter return the vehicle before the end of the agreed rental period, the full rental period charges will still be applicable.

Security Deposit
A rental deposit of € 800 (when visiting Non-Eu countries € 1500) will be deposited on the receipt day, this includes insurance, damages and loss of property, this amount will be returned to the renter upon return of the vehicle in the same condition as received, should there be any deductions, it will be made before refund.
Upon receipt and return of the motorhome the renter wil sign rental agreenment with the company.

Should your rental period overlap 2 seasons, the individual days will be calculated as per seasonal rates.

Should you wish to travel across the borders of Greece, a written consent has to be obtained from the rental company along with further instructions. Turtle Vacation has the right to refuse certain countries. The rental company, Turtle Vacation reserves the right to apply limited millage (kilometers) when travelling accross the borders of Greece.When making use of ferry transport to cross the borders of Greece, the renter is required to present all applicable ferry tickets to the rental company, Turtle Vacation. The renter is not allowed to purchase ‘one-way’ ferry tickets.

‘One-way’ rentals are not allowed.
When travelling to a Non-Eu country,a written consent has to be obtained from the rental company along with further instructions.The security/Insurance deposit for traveling Non-EU countries is € 1500. Turtle Vacation has the right to refuse certain countries. The rental company, Turtle Vacation reserves the right to apply limited millage (kilometers) when travelling accross the borders of Greece.

Should the renter wish to travel to a Greek Island with a Ferry boat, a written consent has to be obtained from the rental company along with further instructions.

The renter is responsible for all traffic fines and fees obtained during the rental period, in the event that the company receives a fine for the specific renter after return of the vehicle, the renter is still responsible for the payment of it, unless they are caused by the fault of the rental company.

The vehicle will be given to the renter with a full tank of gas, and must be returned the same way. In the event that the vehicle will not be returned with a full tank of gas, the cost to fill the tank will be deducted from your deposit, according to the current gas prices.

Our vehicles uses only diesel gas, in the event that the renter put any other type of fuel in the gas tank, the renter will be responsible for the repair of damage to the vehicle engine.

In the event of an accident, fire, theft, damaged caused by game or any other damage, the renter is required to report to the police as well as the rental company immediately. The renting party may not claim of any sort whatsoever caused by accident or accident within the motorhome or on the rental company property. The renter agrees to undertake regular checks to ensure fully function and safety of all motorhome vehicles.

Travel Restriction
Vehicles cannot drive on Gravel roads. and vehicles are not allowed to travel to Turkey and all Non-EU countries.

Smoking Policy
Everyday there are more people who do not smoke or like the smell of it, therefore it is not allowed to smoke in our motorhomes. When however after the rental period it appears that there was smoking in our motorhomes, the cost of deep cleaning will be deducted from your deposit.

Pets Policy
We kindly request that you leave your pets at home, for the next customers who rents it may not always concur. However if after the rental period appears that there has been a pet in the motorhome, the cost of deep cleaning will be deducted from your deposit.

A copy of this agreement will be signed by parties, the renter and Rental Company on day of receipt.

Please allow 30 - 60 minutes for introduction and familiarization of your motorhome.

Basic cleaning services, free to the renter, are provided before and after the rental of the motorhome to ensure the renter receives the motorhome as good as new!

Personal vehicles and possessions can be stored at own risk at the property of Turtle Vacation, free of charge to the renterer.

Terms of booking on this website

Information disclaimer
The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

Liability
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.

Turtle Vacation Insurance

Our vehicles have all risk insurance as well as 24 hour roadside assistance, which is included in the rental price. However if you cause or suffer any damages to the motorhome your own risk will be €800 per incident (This holds for all motorhome models).

You are requested to report any accidents or damages to the company on the very same day, so that the company can arrange for any necessary repairs as soon as the vehicle is returned.
This will assist us to provide to our next customer a safe vehicle.

In the unlikely event of an accident try not to panic! See if there is any injured person, assist them first.
Call the local police and report the accident. You are also requested to phone the company, so that we can assist you in all possible ways.

A €800,00 security deposit is payable on day of receipt, which in turn is refundable at the end of the rental period.
